Gnomes!

Lady Evelyne, the ever valiant knight, descended into the depths of the Castile’s cellar, her lantern casting flickering golden light upon the rows of dusty barrels and wheels of cheese.

As she stepped forward, a rustling echoed in the shadows - tiny figures scurrying like mischievous mice. She lived her lantern high, revealing a cluster of gnomes, their beards dusted with crumbs, their arms full of pilfered wine and cheese.

“Not again” sighed Evelyne “this is the third time this week”. one of the gnomes, frozen mid-bite swallowed hard, a sheepish look on his face piped up, “would you like a slice of brie in exchange for... forgetting this?” Evelyne, ever a fan of good cheese, considered - and closed the lantern shut with a knowing smirk.
